Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edgy Brah (ranked 2458 p4p, 4090 weight class) and Ellis Rowards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgy Brah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Edgy Brah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ellis Rowards!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brah sends Rowards crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Brah is motioning to the referee to let Rowards up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Rowards is rocked!

Brah tries to sprawl but Rowards drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Rowards is still in real trouble! Can Brah finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rowards wants to pass to mount but Brah is defending the position.
Rowards seems to have recovered his senses.
Brah punching from the bottom.
Rowards drops an elbow to the side of Brah's head.
Rowards slows the pace down in half guard.
Brah controlling the position well.

Rowards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Rowards shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Brah is trying to maintain the position but Rowards is very close to passing his half guard.

Brah slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Brah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rowards can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rowards wants to control from the top but Brah keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Rowards might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brah haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Nice straight punches there by Brah. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Brah.
Rowards displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brah throws out the jab.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rowards looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rowards passes into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Rowards shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Rowards keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Rowards is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brah sees it coming and defends easily.

Rowards is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brah defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rowards is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Brah trying to control but Rowards postures up.

Rowards wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brah keeps working.

Rowards is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brah doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rowards.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Brah has his hands clasped together around Rowards's back. He's all about the action.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brah sizes up Rowards with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Edgy Brah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brah clinches up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Brah.

Brah breaks from the clinch.
Rowards pivots, looking for a leg kick but Brah is out of range and Rowards settles back down.
Rowards has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Brah.

Brah looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowards tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Brah has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Brah thowing shots but they're missing.
Rowards felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brah controlling the position easily from mount.
Rowards tries to hold on but Brah pushes him away.
Brah controlling the pace for now.

Brah goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Rowards is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Brah looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rowards trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brah's guard.
Rowards trying to control the position from guard on top but Brah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rowards prevents Brah from getting back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brah looking to control but Rowards passes into half guard.

Rowards is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Edgy Brah dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Rowards throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brah tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rowards is in Brah's guard.
Rowards wants to control from the top but Brah keeps moving.
Rowards throws a big right hand that misses.

Brah is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rowards has his hands clasped together but Brah extends and breaks Rowards's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Brah.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Edgy Brah!
A very excited looking Edgy Brah made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
