Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Wilder (ranked 3358 p4p, 4098 weight class) and Barry Kingsmill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilder's entrance music is Giannis (ft. Anderson Paak) - Freddie Gibbs & Madlib. A fine choice. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwayne Wilder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barry Kingsmill!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kingsmill moves into the clinch.
Wilder lands a body shot.
Kingsmill is working for takedown but Wilder is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kingsmill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kingsmill closes the distance and pushes Wilder back into the cage.
Wilder tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Kingsmill breaks the clinch.
Wilder misses with a looping right.
Kingsmill throws a body kick that misses.
Wilder throwing a counter right hand but Kingsmill manages to avoid it.
Kingsmill tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wilder paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kingsmill fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wilder to the ground. Kingsmill is now in Wilder's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kingsmill decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kingsmill shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kingsmill showed some decent athleticism there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kingsmill keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Wilder on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wilder tries to get out of the position.

Wilder trying to hold on to Kingsmill's head to control him but Kingsmill postures up.
Wilder wants to get back to full guard.
Kingsmill controlling the action here.
Kingsmill is pressing down on Wilder's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wilder is holding on for now.
Kingsmill is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kingsmill stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Wilder tries to close the distance and clinch but Kingsmill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kingsmill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilder tries to avoid it but Kingsmill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilder to the ground. Wilder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wilder throwing a counter right hand but Kingsmill manages to avoid it.
Kingsmill checks a leg kick.

Wilder tries to keep at a distance but Kingsmill has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kingsmill drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wilder gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dwayne Wilder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Kingsmill.
A nice left hand lands by Wilder.
Wilder goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kingsmill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kingsmill moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A head kick misses from Wilder.
Wilder stuffs the takedown attempt from Kingsmill. Kingsmill gets slowly back to his feet.
Wilder tried to counter with a leg kick but Kingsmill avoided it.
Kingsmill ducks under a wild hook from Wilder.

Kingsmill takes the fight into the clinch.
Wilder is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Wilder swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wilder lands with a right to the head.
Kingsmill is looking for a takedown.
Kingsmill fails to pull guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wilder is looking to control Kingsmill's arms but Kingsmill gets an underhook and turns him. Now Wilder has his back to the cage.

Kingsmill's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wilder tries to keep at a distance but Kingsmill has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kingsmill jumps into guard, dragging Wilder to the mat.
Wilder wants to stand but Kingsmill has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kingsmill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wilder preventing the sweep.
Our spies down at at Lovelair's MMA inform us that Kingsmill has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wilder accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Barry Kingsmill dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Kingsmill gets a clinch.
Wilder misses with some punches.

Kingsmill's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kingsmill sizes up Wilder with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Kingsmill clinches.
Kingsmill has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kingsmill breaks the clinch.
Wilder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wilder tests Kingsmill's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Barry Kingsmill has been cut.
Kingsmill tries to work over Wilder's front leg with a kick but Wilder checks it.
Wilder keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kingsmill clinches up with Wilder and pushes him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kingsmill is looking to take this one to the mat.
Wilder swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kingsmill tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wilder smiles and moves away.
Dwayne Wilder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barry Kingsmill.
Wilder takes a swing at Kingsmill's ribcage but misses.
Wilder pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kingsmill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilder as he jumps to the side.
Wilder jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Kingsmill clinches up against the cage.
Kingsmill blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Kingsmill has picked Wilder up - he's going for a ride! Kingsmill dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kingsmill takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Kingsmill gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A right-left combo lands from Wilder.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wilder throws a solid leg kick but Kingsmill takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wilder.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kingsmill.
Wilder tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Kingsmill putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Kingsmill cracks Wilder with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Wilder is trying to stand up.
Kingsmill tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wilder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kingsmill on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Wilder that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kingsmill content just to control the position here.
Wilder is looking to improve his position but Kingsmill isn't that keen on the idea.
Kingsmill raining down hammerfists from mount.
Kingsmill controlling the pace for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kingsmill landing punches.
Barry Kingsmill has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kingsmill controlling from mount.
Wilder working to try and regain half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Barry Kingsmill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Barry Kingsmill's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Wilder ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kingsmill moves away.
Kingsmill's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wilder connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kingsmill scrambles back to his feet.
Wilder looks to land a combination but Kingsmill avoids it well.
Kingsmill tries to bum rush Wilder with a series of wild strikes but Wilder uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wilder tried to counter with a leg kick but Kingsmill avoided it.
Wilder looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Kingsmill instigates a clinch.

Kingsmill successfully pulls guard.
Kingsmill trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kingsmill looking for a sweep. Not yet Kingsmill, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kingsmill wants to stand up but Wilder is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wilder has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kingsmill to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wilder is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kingsmill pulls down on the head and he's put Wilder to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Barry Kingsmill!
