Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Dunham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bert Ernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Dunham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bert Ernie! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunham looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ernie is fending him off so far but Dunham persists. Nope, Ernie circles away and we're back to standing. Dunham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Frankie Dunham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunham shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frankie Dunham. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ernie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Ernie wants to pass the guard but Dunham is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ernie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ernie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dunham sees it coming and defends easily. Ernie wants to free his trapped foot but Dunham is holding on for dear life with his legs. Ernie is looking for a kimura but Dunham is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ernie to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ernie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dunham with a poor takedown so Ernie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ernie wants to get up but he can't break Dunham's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ernie drops back looking for a leg! Dunham is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dunham manages to kick Ernie off! Ernie jumps back into Dunham's guard. Ernie looks gassed! Dunham is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ernie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ernie looking to pass the guard. Ernie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dunham is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ernie, into his guard. Ernie working for a triangle but Dunham defends it easily.
Ernie can't keep his opponent in guard - Dunham advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ernie is trying to control but Dunham passes into side control!
Dunham decides to take the fight back to the feet. Ernie tries for a takedown but Dunham sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dunham throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ernie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Dunham fails in his attempt to clinch. Dunham throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ernie's head. Ernie blocks a head kick by Dunham.
Dunham fails with the takedown and Ernie counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ernie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dunham swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ernie advances to half guard. Ernie is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Dunham still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Dunham has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Ernie is not content to let Dunham control the position. Ernie is looking for a sweep. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ernie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Ernie is staying active underneath Dunham, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bert Ernie dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ernie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ernie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dunham has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ernie but great work by Dunham. Dunham wants to control but Ernie is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ernie is looking to reverse the position. Ernie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Ernie trying to control from the bottom.
Ernie looking for submissions off his back. Dunham wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ernie keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ernie is looking to improve his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dunham shoots and misses so Ernie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ernie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ernie wants to control from the top but Dunham keeps moving. Ernie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dunham looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dunham looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dunham! Ernie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ernie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Ernie wants to improve his position but Dunham is controlling well.
Ernie throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Ernie tries to roll over but Dunham keeps him under control. Dunham seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ernie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ernie tries to roll over but Dunham keeps him under control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ernie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ernie seems to be working for a kimura but Dunham defends the submission attempt. Ernie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ernie looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ernie wants to work for an arm triangle but Dunham is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ernie is thwarting Dunham's attempts to control the position. Ernie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ernie gets the takedown into side control. Ernie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dunham knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ernie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bert Ernie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Dunham shoots and misses and Ernie counters with a shoot takedown. Dunham fights it but they end up in guard. Dunham keeping moving, preventing Ernie from controlling successfully. Ernie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dunham kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Ernie wants to pass the guard but Dunham is keeping the position. Ernie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ernie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Ernie must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

He's rotating and Ernie has tapped! This one is allllll over!
