Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Wolfman (ranked 23632 p4p, 23319 weight class) and Hector Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hector Mendoza was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hector Mendoza!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza throws a head kick but Wolfman moves out of range.
A quick step to the side and Wolfman tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mendoza has his takedown stuffed
and Wolfman counters with a one-two to the body.
Mendoza ducks under a wild hook from Wolfman.
Mendoza with the counter takedown but Wolfman avoids it easily.
Some wild striking there from Wolfman.
Wolfman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Wolfman moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Wolfman tries to land a leg kick but Mendoza saw it coming and moves away.
A little jabbing left from Mendoza on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wolfman cracks Mendoza with an open hand slap.
It looks like Hector Mendoza has been cut.
Wolfman digs a good hook to Mendoza's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Wolfman counters with a right hand to the body.
Wolfman looks to land a combination but Mendoza avoids it well.

Mendoza tries to clinch but Wolfman moves out of range.
We've been told by Wolfman's head coaches at Slaughter Houze that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wolfman looks to throw the jab but Mendoza is out of range.
Klaus Wolfman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wolfman connects with a nice looking jab.
Wolfman uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mendoza has time to react.
Wolfman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mendoza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Mendoza avoids a punch combination nicely.
A big left from Mendoza misses.
A little feinted left hand from Wolfman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Mendoza has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wolfman jabs Mendoza to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Wolfman goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mendoza uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wolfman.
Wolfman slaps away a takedown attempt from Mendoza, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Klaus Wolfman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Mendoza.
Wolfman ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wolfman explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
A clash of legs there as Wolfman blocks the low kick.
Wolfman has closed the distance and engaged Mendoza in a clinch.
Wolfman stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Wolfman is trying to keep Mendoza in close.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wolfman is on top in guard.
Wolfman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Mendoza trying to control but Wolfman flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Wolfman slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Wolfman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mendoza is trying to get back to his feet but Wolfman has full control of the position and if anything, Mendoza has just worked his way into a worse spot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wolfman leaves Mendoza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Klaus Wolfman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolfman lands with a hook. Mendoza tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That has opened up Hector Mendoza's cut even more.
Mendoza misses with a jab to the body
and Mendoza takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wolfman drops Mendoza with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Mendoza! Wolfman dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klaus Wolfman!
Klaus Wolfman bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
