Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benji Torres (ranked 4125 p4p, 5120 weight class) and Willie Layer (ranked 498 p4p, 575 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Benji Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willie Layer!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Layer listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Torres misses with a hook. Layer ducked under it nicely.
Layer lands with a nice combination. Torres backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Benji Torres has been cut.
Layer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Torres.
Layer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Layer works Torres's body with a nice hook.
Layer slips under a jab.
Layer throws out a counter right but Torres avoids it with no problem.
The fighters circle momentarily. Layer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Layer throws a hook but Torres blocks it.
Good shot there by Layer.
Layer throws a hook to the side of Torres's head but Torres sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Torres rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Layer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Torres lunges at Layer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Layer's hand.
It looks like Willie Layer has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Layer.
Willie Layer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torres takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Layer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Torres.
Torres misses with a right hand
and Torres takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Torres cracks Layer with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Torres has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Layer to stand back up!
Layer is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Layer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Torres.
Layer is still on wobbly legs! Can Torres finish him?
Torres swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Torres connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Layer out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benji Torres!
