Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benei Gillespie (ranked 4883 p4p, 5678 weight class) and Augustus Gadela (ranked 524 p4p, 576 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Augustus Gadela!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Francis DeMontford and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gadela closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gadela fails to pull guard.
Gillespie is trying to break free.

Gadela escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gillespie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gadela sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gillespie somewhat.
Gadela tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gillespie tries to clinch but Gadela moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gadela takes the fight into the clinch.
Gillespie is looking to break free of the clinch but Gadela has double underhooks.

Gillespie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gillespie stands and throws Gadela's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gadela can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gadela is looking to improve his position but Gillespie isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gillespie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gadela is looking to escape.
