Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tim Meyer (ranked 4912 p4p, 5798 weight class) and Olek Michailov (ranked 222 p4p, 241 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tim Meyer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tim Meyer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Meyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Olek Michailov! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Donatello Bradman and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meyer shoots in looking for a takedown. Michailov tries to sprawl out of it but Meyer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Michailov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Meyer tries to bum rush Michailov with a series of wild strikes but Michailov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Michailov is defended easily by Meyer. Meyer shoots in but Michailov avoids the takedown attempt easily. Meyer darts in looking for a takedown but Michailov gets double underhooks and turns Meyer into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Meyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer is pressed up against the cage. Michailov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Meyer down to the mat. Meyer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Meyer misses with a takedown letting Michailov counter with a right hand. Meyer looks for a takedown but Michailov sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michailov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Meyer closes the distance and clinches. Meyer breaks the clinch.
No joy there for Meyer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Michailov keeps the fight on the outside. Michailov appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Michailov throws a combination that misses and Meyer moves into the clinch. Michailov avoiding damage as Meyer throws knees to the body.
Michailov tries to pull guard but Meyer holds him up against the cage and eventually Michailov drops back down to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyer shoots in for a double leg but Michailov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Michailov closes the distance and clinches up with Meyer, looking for a takedown. Michailov pushes Meyer against the cage but Meyer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It looked like Meyer was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. A right-left combo lands from Michailov. Michailov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Meyer has taken the fight to the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Michailov pulls Meyer into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Meyer trying to control but Michailov is working from the bottom. Meyer's corner is telling him to maintain position. Michailov seems keen to control Meyer's posture. Michailov looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Meyer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Michailov misses with a takedown attempt and Meyer counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Meyer has hold of one of Michailov's legs. Michailov is fighting the takedown attempt but Meyer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meyer controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meyer wants to control from the top but Michailov keeps moving. Meyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Michailov is trying to control the position but Meyer postures up. Meyer scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Meyer sitting in guard, not really doing much. Meyer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Meyer sitting in guard, not really doing much. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Meyer dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Nice sprawl there from Michailov as Meyer shoots in. Michailov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Meyer defends well and Michailov ends up having to push Meyer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Meyer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Michailov! Michailov tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Meyer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Michailov tries to lock up and control but Meyer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer raining down shots from the mount!

Meyer has control of Michailov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Michailov regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Michailov has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Meyer's lack of action.
Meyer is thwarting Michailov's attempts to control the position. Meyer is keen to just control but Michailov is a slippery customer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Michailov wants to get back to full guard but Meyer has passed into side control. Meyer is looking to take a break and control but Michailov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Michailov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michailov is refusing to be controlled, as Meyer sits in half guard. Meyer looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Michailov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Meyer is working away from the top position though. Meyer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Michailov has managed to free his arm - good work. Meyer lands strikes from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Michailov gets full guard. Michailov trying to control the position.
Meyer is looking to stand up but Michailov won't let him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Michailov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Meyer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Meyer has managed to clinch.
Meyer gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Michailov regains guard.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Meyer wants to stand but Michailov is controlling his posture from full guard. Meyer trying to control the position from guard on top but Michailov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Michailov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Meyer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Michailov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Meyer has Michailov in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michailov trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Meyer manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Michailov wants to get back to his feet but Meyer passes into half guard.

Meyer wants to free his trapped foot but Michailov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Meyer trying to control from half guard but Michailov is working away. Well, if Meyer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Michailov tries a low kick but Meyer avoids it. Meyer fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Michailov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. The fight stays on the outside here - Michailov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Michailov stuffs the takedown. Meyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Michailov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Meyer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Michailov throws a head kick that misses. Olek Michailov seems to be getting the better of the standup. Michailov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Michailov digs a good body shot into Meyer's ribs. Olek Michailov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tim Meyer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Michailov misses with a kick to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Olek Michailov. I think Meyer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
