Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juiced Dilly (ranked 3582 p4p, 5903 weight class) and Wolfgang Loitzl (ranked 172 p4p, 232 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilly swats away the attempt to clinch by Loitzl.

Loitzl fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dilly to the ground. Loitzl is now in Dilly's guard.
Dilly wants to get back to his feet but Loitzl passes into half guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Loitzl is working for a kimura but Dilly is defending it quite comfortably.
Loitzl wants to take a breather but Dilly is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dilly tries to get to full guard but Loitzl has control of the leg.
Loitzl wants to control but Dilly is keeping him busy.

Loitzl seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dilly does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Loitzl is pressing down on Dilly's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dilly is holding on for now.
Dilly knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Loitzl on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Loitzl takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Loitzl throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Loitzl is looking to take a break and control but Dilly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Loitzl drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Loitzl tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

You can see the frustration on Dilly's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Loitzl jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dilly manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Loitzl slows the pace down.
Loitzl tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Loitzl closes the distance and clinches.

Loitzl ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Loitzl no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Loitzl has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Dilly has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Dilly distracts Loitzl with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Loitzl has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dilly is posturing up here but Loitzl has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dilly tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dilly has to tap! Slick submission there by Loitzl!
