PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Balboa (ranked 3960 p4p, 4500 weight class) and Tommy Robertson (ranked 419 p4p, 458 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rocky Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommy Robertson !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
It looked like Balboa was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Robertson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Balboa's waist but Balboa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robertson off to one side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Robertson enables Balboa to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Robertson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
