Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Winky Medina (ranked 24473 p4p, 24875 weight class) and Colton Jacobs (ranked 484 p4p, 486 weight class). Jacobs has chosen Bottoms up as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Winky Medina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Colton Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medina dives in for a single leg takedown but Jacobs sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Medina throws a knee to the head but misses.

Medina manages to break the clinch.
Jacobs throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Medina clinches up with Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage.
Jacobs is trying to pull guard but Medina has him pressed against the cage.

Medina manages to break the clinch.
Jacobs wants to clinch up but Medina keeps it at a distance.

Medina jumps into guard, dragging Jacobs to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Medina has his hands on Jacobs's head, controlling the position.
Jacobs has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Medina is proving hard to escape from.

Jacobs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Medina. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Medina keeping moving, preventing Jacobs from controlling successfully.
Jacobs might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Medina haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jacobs ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jacobs no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Medina shoots in looking for a takedown. Jacobs tries to sprawl out of it but Medina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jacobs manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jacobs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Medina is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Medina has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jacobs is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Medina, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
