Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Everette (ranked 2218 p4p, 2515 weight class) and Tundra Irkutsk (ranked 293 p4p, 328 weight class). Tundra Irkutsk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Everette! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tundra Irkutsk! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Everette throws a jab when Irkutsk was well out of range. Everette connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Everette looks to land a left hand but Irkutsk moved out of range nicely. Irkutsk clinches up against the cage. Irkutsk has a couple of punches blocked by Everette.

Irkutsk taking a breather. Irkutsk receives a warning from the referee for stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Tundra Irkutsk. Irkutsk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Irkutsk moves out of range as Everette strikes. Everette lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Tundra Irkutsk has been cut. Everette throws a lazy right hand but Irkutsk sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Everette jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Irkutsk dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Irkutsk uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Everette. Everette looks to land a left hand but Irkutsk moved out of range nicely. We've been told by Everette's head coaches at Beasties that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Everette gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Irkutsk throws a jab when Everette was well out of range. Kyle Everette seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Everette lands with an overhand left. Irkutsk comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Irkutsk jabbing away but nothing is landing. A swing and a miss from Irkutsk. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice defenses there by Everette. Irkutsk jabs Everette to the body, keeping him at a distance. Everette is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Irkutsk tries to clinch up but Everette circles away and keeps his distance. Irkutsk moves out of range as Everette strikes. Everette throws a jab when Irkutsk was well out of range. Everette throws an overhand right that lands on Irkutsk's shoulder, as Irkutsk tries to avoid the shot.

and Irkutsk counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Irkutsk slips under a jab from Everette. Despite the aggression on Irkutsk's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Irkutsk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Everette lands with an uppercut that bounces Irkutsk off the cage and back into range. Everette throws a jab but it's blocked by Irkutsk. Everette throws an off balance right hand
and Irkutsk counters with a lovely shot to the body. Irkutsk defending well as Everette loads up on a big left hand. Irkutsk punishes Everette's body with a nice straight punch. Irkutsk misses with a hook. Everette really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Irkutsk ducks under a wild hook from Everette. Irkutsk goes for a double leg but Everette avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Everette continues to drive forward. Everette sizes up Irkutsk with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Irkutsk is rocked! Everette misses with an uppercut. Everette throws out a loose jab but Irkutsk uses good head movement to avoid it. Irkutsk works Everette's body with a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Irkutsk connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Irkutsk dips to his left and cracks Everette with an uppercut! Everette throws a shot from downtown. Irkutsk moves away and avoids it. Irkutsk misses with an uppercut. Irkutsk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Everette stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Irkutsk slips under a jab. Irkutsk ducks under a wild hook from Everette. That has opened up Tundra Irkutsk's cut even more. Irkutsk takes a swing at Everette's ribcage but misses. Everette takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Everette feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Irkutsk sprawling to the canvas! Irkutsk rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Everette finish him?!

Everette misses with a straight right. It seemed like Irkutsk was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Irkutsk uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Everette. Irkutsk seems to have recovered his senses. Irkutsk bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Irkutsk moves out of range of the strikes. Everette throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Irkutsk counters with a nice uppercut. Everette throws a shot from downtown. Irkutsk moves away and avoids it. Irkutsk swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Everette misses the target. Everette takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
