Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atticus Turner (ranked 5641 p4p, 2947 weight class) and Babeep Burnmegamedov (ranked 529 p4p, 329 weight class). Burnmegamedov has chosen Russia National Anthem as his entrance music. Babeep Burnmegamedov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Babeep Burnmegamedov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner throws a nice inside leg kick.
Burnmegamedov throws a jab when Turner was well out of range.
Burnmegamedov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've been told by Turner's head coaches at Qube MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Burnmegamedov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.
Burnmegamedov throws the left hand but Turner avoids the punch easily.
Burnmegamedov misses the shot to the body.
Burnmegamedov misses with a right hand
and Burnmegamedov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Turner shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Burnmegamedov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Burnmegamedov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Turner keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Burnmegamedov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Turner's head.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Burnmegamedov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Turner defend it? Burnmegamedov steps over the head and cranks it - Turner is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Burnmegamedov!

A relieved looking Babeep Burnmegamedov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
