Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicandro Aloisio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cathal O Doherty!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Doherty doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aloisio counters with a nice body kick.
O Doherty throws a head kick but Aloisio moves out of range.
Aloisio was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
O Doherty with a poor takedown
letting Aloisio counter with a right hand.
O Doherty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aloisio tries to avoid it but O Doherty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aloisio to the ground. Aloisio escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Aloisio swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Nicandro Aloisio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cathal O Doherty.
O Doherty looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cathal O Doherty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O Doherty tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Aloisio is able to avoid easily.
It looked like Aloisio wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

O Doherty's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Nicandro Aloisio showed his dominance in that final round.
