The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Ver Huevan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Von Ver Huevan keeps control of Brand as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Von Ver Huevan works on Brand's body with a couple of short punches.
Von Ver Huevan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Von Ver Huevan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Von Ver Huevan connects with a right hand. Brand shakes it off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brand bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Von Ver Huevan connects with a body shot that sends Brand's belly button to the back.

Brand takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Magnus Von Ver Huevan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Von Ver Huevan lands with a shot to the body.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Brand avoiding damage as Von Ver Huevan throws knees to the body.
Von Ver Huevan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Von Ver Huevan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Brand takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Brand tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Von Ver Huevan was well out of range. Poor timing from Brand.
Von Ver Huevan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Brand at a distance.
Von Ver Huevan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brands jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Brand swings widly with a right hand
and Von Ver Huevan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brand throws a hook but Von Ver Huevan blocks it.
Brand misses with a lunging right hand
and Von Ver Huevan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Von Ver Huevan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brand sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Brand went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Von Ver Huevan ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Von Ver Huevan connects with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Von Ver Huevan looks to land a right hand but Brand moved out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Brand misses the target.
Brand moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A decent looking cross lands there for Von Ver Huevan.
Von Ver Huevan cracks Brand with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Brand looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Von Ver Huevan finish him?
Brand is rocked!
Von Ver Huevan cracks Brand's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Brand slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Von Ver Huevan can do further damage! This one is done, son!
