Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Wave (ranked 3481 p4p, 5321 weight class) and Elias Korpela (ranked 444 p4p, 580 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wave might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Heaven (OWLLE Remix). Elias Korpela will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elias Korpela!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wave has his takedown stuffed
and Korpela counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wave misses with an uppercut
and Korpela counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Korpela fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wave throws a hook but Korpela avoids it easily.
Wave goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Elias Korpela has been cut.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wave looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Korpela is fending him off so far but Wave persists. Nope, Korpela circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight stays on the outside here - Wave looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wave looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Wave tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Korpela manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Korpela throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Wave crashing down! Wave tries to stagger back to his feet but Korpela just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Wave asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elias Korpela!
