Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Potter (ranked 6063 p4p, 4553 weight class) and Testy Nines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamie Potter had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Potter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Testy Nines!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nines moves away.

Nines gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Nines had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Potter defends it easily.

Nines working for submissions but it's allowed Potter to get to half guard.

Potter decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Nines throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nines moves out of range as Potter throws a body kick.

Potter shoots in and gets a takedown into Nines's guard.
Nines wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Potter manages to pass to side control.

Potter lands with a punch from half guard.
Potter is nestled in close to Nines, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Potter decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

and Potter counters by moving into the clinch.

Potter gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Nines tries to kick Potter off in order to stand up. Potter Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Potter in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Potter decides to stand back up. Potter steps back and let's Nines get back to his feet.

No joy there for Potter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Potter drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nines is looking to stand back up but Potter counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nines.

Potter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nines for as long as he can get away with.

Potter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Nines trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Potter manages to pass to mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nines is trying desperately to improve position.

Potter pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Potter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Nines is surviving well by controlling Potter's body position as best he can.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Potter is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Nines is defending well though. Potter let's go of the attempt for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Potter lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Nines hold on?!
Nines is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Potter controlling well, preventing Nines from escaping the position.

Potter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Potter has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Nines is in real trouble here. Potter gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Nines is tapping out! Potter wins by rear naked choke!
