Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mason Clinton (ranked 4935 p4p, 4934 weight class) and Mike Wilson (ranked 384 p4p, 383 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Clinton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Wilson ! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clinton wants to clinch and Wilson counters with a single leg into guard. Clinton didn't expect that. Clinton working a defensive guard but Wilson passes into half guard.
Wilson not doing much here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clinton tries to get to full guard but Wilson has control of the leg. Clinton trying to control but Wilson postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clinton wants to control but Wilson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wilson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Clinton defends it well. Wilson slows the pace down in half guard. Let's hope that Wilson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Clinton sees it coming and defends easily. Wilson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilson wants to get back to his feet.
Wilson is trying to work for a kimura but Clinton is defending well.

Clinton avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wilson . Clinton is trying to maintain the position but Wilson is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clinton actively working from the bottom here. Clinton has hold of Wilson 's hands but Wilson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Wilson prevents Clinton from improving his position. Wilson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Wilson content to control rather than advance. Clinton wants to control but Wilson passes into side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wilson is staying tight to Clinton's torso, preventing him from escaping. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Wilson . Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Clinton is working to avoid the ground and pound but Wilson connects with a decent elbow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Wilson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Clinton lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Clinton gets tackled into the cage by Wilson . Wilson maintains the clinch. Clinton tries to pull guard but Wilson forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Clinton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wilson is trying to trip Clinton. He has hold of a leg but Clinton is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wilson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Clinton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilson defends well. Wilson is pushing down on Clinton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Clinton is fighting to maintain full guard but Wilson has managed to sneak the leg through. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson controlling the action here. Clinton looking for subs from the bottom but Wilson mounts him!

Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wilson working the ground and pound effectively.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Clinton is forced to tap! Great finish!
