Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Ljung (ranked 4446 p4p, 4420 weight class) and Franchesco Bombardini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Ljung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombardini tries to clinch but Ljung is having none of it.
Ljung shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bombardini sprawls well. Bombardini wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ljung gets slowly back to his feet.
Bombardini shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ljung as he jumps to the side.
Ljung doesn't manage to clinch there - Bombardini circles away.

and Bombardini counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bombardini rushes Ljung and presses him up against the cage.

Bombardini digs a right hand underneath Ljung's ribcage. Ljung let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Bombardini has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ljung is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bombardini jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ljung walks away with a smile on his face. Bombardini gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ljung takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Bombardini fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ljung shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bombardini pinned against the cage. Bombardini gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bombardini.

Bombardini gets tackled into the cage by Ljung. Ljung maintains the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bombardini tries to break free but Ljung pushes him back against the cage.
Ljung breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bombardini throws out a leg kick but Ljung moves out of range and Bombardini only half commits.

A decent looking cross lands there for Bombardini.
Ljung shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bombardini as he avoids it easily.
