Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gregoire Lamerde (ranked 5767 p4p, 5210 weight class) and Lukey Swavy (ranked 415 p4p, 390 weight class). Lamerde comes to the cage accompanied by Sans Pression - Térritoire Hostile. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lukey Swavy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamerde tries to close the distance and clinch up but Swavy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice takedown defense from Lamerde. No joy for Swavy on that attempt.
Lamerde tries to clinch up.
A thudding body kick lands there by Lamerde!
Lamerde showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Swavy.
Lamerde throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Lukey Swavy has been cut.

Swavy closes the distance and pushes Lamerde back into the cage.
Swavy blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Lamerde tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Swavy smiles and moves away.
Lamerde doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Swavy closes the distance and pushes Lamerde back into the cage.

Swavy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lamerde throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lamerde is looking to clinch but Swavy is avoiding it.

Swavy pushes Lamerde up against the cage in a clinch.
Lamerde definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Swavy tries to work over Lamerde's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Swavy prevents Lamerde from breaking the clinch.
Swavy scores with a hook to the body.
Swavy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Swavy is trying to break the clinch but Lamerde is controlling him.
Swavy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lamerde using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Swavy has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Swavy breaks the clinch.
Swavy keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Swavy throws a body shot but no joy.
Lamerde lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lamerde.
Whack! Lamerde lands a heavy head kick that drops Swavy. The ref tackles Lamerde to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Swavy was done.
