Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuel Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Cox!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson looks for a takedown but Cox sprawls well.
Jackson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cox.
Cox lands a really nice looking cross but Jackson seems unphased.

Jackson goes for a double leg but Cox avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cox continues to drive forward.
Cox is trying to maintain a safe position but Jackson gets an underhook and turns Cox into the cage.
Cox looking to slow down the pace here.
Cox can't find room to land a body shot as Jackson controls the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson has Cox pushed against the cage.
Jackson displaying some good clinch control by pressing Cox up against the cage.
Cox tries to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling the position.

Jackson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cox up against the cage.
Cox jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Cox around his waist. Cox gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cox should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jackson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jackson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cox gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head punch on the inside from Cox fails to land.

Cox breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jackson gets tackled into the cage by Cox. Cox maintains the clinch.
Cox wants to stall.
Jackson blocks an uppercut.

With the fighters up against the cage, Jackson throws an elbow but misses.
Cox goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cox can't find room to land a body shot as Jackson controls the action.

Cox swings wildly with an uppercut but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cox misses with a hook from the clinch.
Jackson is trying to push Cox away but Cox has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Cox tries to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling the position.
Cox is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jackson to keep the fight standing.

Jackson drags the fight down to the ground.

Jackson has his foot on Cox's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cox works his way back into a safe position though.
Cox trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.

Cox has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cox's guard.

Cox is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.
Cox manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.

Jackson wants to stand and escape but Cox is having none of it.
Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jackson keeping full guard, as Cox tries to pass.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cox looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Cox is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jackson sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Cox doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Jackson paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Cox - great work!
