Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Scott Minerva (ranked 3189 p4p, 3200 weight class) and Boxing Guy (ranked 126 p4p, 133 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Minerva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boxing Guy!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minerva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Guy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Minerva fakes the leg kick and cracks Guy in the body.
Sloppy strikes from Guy. Those never looked like landing.
Minerva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guy manages to avoid it.
Minerva darts in and clinches Guy up against the cage.
Guy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Minerva breaks from the clinch.
Minerva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Guy was well out of range. Poor timing from Minerva.
Guy throws a head kick that misses.
Minerva closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Minerva tries to clinch but Guy is having none of it.

Guy throws a lazy head kick
letting Minerva counter with a right hand.
Minerva drives through and clinches with Guy against the cage.
Minerva slowing the pace effectively.
Minerva lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Minerva has Guy pressed against the cage, preventing Guy from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Guy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Minerva instigates a clinch.

Guy manages to break the clinch.

Guy tries a head kick but it misses.
Minerva seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Minerva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Guy throws out the jab.
Boxing Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Minerva moves into range and clinches up with Guy.
Guy is trying to force a seperation but Minerva has the dominant position.
Guy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Minerva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Guy.
Guy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Minerva tries to clinch there but Guy circles away.
Guy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Minerva's head backwards.
Guy shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Minerva eats them both and turns towards Guy to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Minerva doesn't manage to clinch there - Guy circles away.
Guy misses with a low kick as Minerva jumps back.
Minerva moves into range and clinches up with Guy.
Minerva lands a damaging elbow.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Scott Minerva will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Guy throws out a loose jab but Minerva uses good head movement to avoid it.
It looks like Boxing Guy has been cut.
Minerva moves away from the strike by Guy.
Minerva is looking to clinch but Guy is avoiding it.
Guy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Guy avoids the head kick by Minerva.
Guy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Minerva on the side of the head.
Guy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Minerva slips under a jab.
Minerva clinches up against the cage.
Guy is trying to break free.
Minerva tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Minerva stalling.
Guy wants to break the clinch but can't.
Guy breaks the clinch.

Minerva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Guy.
Guy clips Minerva with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Minerva a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
It looks like Scott Minerva has been cut.
Minerva tries to clinch but Guy moves out of range.
Guy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Minerva drives through and clinches with Guy against the cage.
Guy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Guy is trying to break the clinch but Minerva has him pressed against the cage.
Guy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Guy gets tackled into the cage by Minerva. Minerva maintains the clinch.
Minerva controlling the action here for a moment.
Minerva misses with the head strike.

Minerva's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Minerva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Guy.
Guy tries a head kick but it misses.
A quick step to the side and Minerva tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Guy tries to bum rush Minerva with a series of wild strikes but Minerva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Minerva throws a big counter combination but Guy scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Minerva slips under a jab.
A low kick from Guy misses
and Minerva counters with an inside leg kick.
Guy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Minerva.
Minerva has closed the distance and engaged Guy in a clinch.

Minerva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Boxing Guy takes that one, thanks to the knockdown.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Guy cracks Minerva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Minerva is pushing Guy up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Guy wants to break free but Minerva has control.
Minerva's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Minerva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Guy has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
And that's the end of the fight!
Boxing Guy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Guy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
