The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown takes the fight into the clinch.
Brown stalls.
Brown trying to control the position but instead, Proffit has worked for underhooks and has pushed Brown into the cage.
Proffit looking for a takedown.

Proffit wants the takedown. Brown is fighting it off but Proffit persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brown's guard against the cage.

Proffit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position.
Brown is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Proffit is controlling him well.

Brown is looking to regain half guard here but Proffit keeps moving and retains side control.
