Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kareem Kane (ranked 4925 p4p, 5928 weight class) and Long Dong (ranked 540 p4p, 585 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kareem Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Long Dong! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane closes the distance and clinches. Dong swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kane closes the distance and clinches up with Dong, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes Dong against the cage but Dong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kane throws a push kick but Dong slaps the foot to one side. Dong looks like he wants to counter punch here. Dong's coach down at 3Band MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dong's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kane slaps away a takedown attempt from Dong, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane thows a huge punch but Dong dodges it nicely.
Dong keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Kane thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dong's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dong controlling Kane's posture. Kane wants to control from the top but Dong keeps moving. Kane throws a big elbow that misses. Dong controlling the position. Dong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kane working some strikes from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane postures up.
Dong is pulling down on Kane's head. It's preventing any offense from Kane, at least for the moment. Kane wants to stand and escape but instead Dong has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Dong controlling from the top position. Kane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kareem Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kane moves into range and clinches up with Dong. Kane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kane drives through with a takedown into Dong's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Dong is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Kane presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong has Kane pressed against the cage.
Kane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dong misses the shot to the body. Horrible takedown attempt by Kane or perhaps it was just good defense by Dong, which made it look bad. Kane moves in looking to clinch but Dong pushes him off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dong. Dong dodges the punch combination from Kane.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kareem Kane will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Kane lands a jab to the nose. Kane fails in his attempt to clinch. Kane throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Kane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kane content to control rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dong preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong is trying to control but can't.
Kane performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dong is trying to get back to full guard. Dong is refusing to be controlled, as Kane sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dong is looking to improve his position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kane looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kane shoots in for a takedown but Dong shows good takedown defense. Dong is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Dong takes a swing at Kane's ribcage but misses. Kane tries to clinch but Dong moves out of range. Kane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dong swings for the body but Kane moves out of range.
And Kane counters with a quick kick to the body but Dong blocks it. Sloppy strikes from Kane. Those never looked like landing. Kane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dong defends well and Kane ends up having to push Dong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kareem Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dong as he avoids it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kane wants to slow Dong down by chopping away at his legs. Dong flicks out a counter leg kick but Kane steps away. Dong looks to score with a jab to the body but Kane is just out of range. Kane tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Dong manages to circle out of the way. Dong wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Dong is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kane rather than just go for the knockout. Dong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dong wants it to stay on the feet. Kane goes for a double leg but Dong avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dong continues to drive forward. Kane is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dong pulls him back up using the underhooks. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Dong.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong effectively controlling the action here. Kane can't get the takedown.
Kane jumps guard but Dong turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Dong stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Dong is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Dong goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kane prevents it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dong just leaning against Kane, taking a breather. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Long Dong will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round! Kane takes one on the button. Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kane looking to sit in guard and control but Dong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dong slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The referee asks Dong politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dong prefers to stall for the moment though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Dong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kane is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kane is looking to reverse the position. Dong is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kane will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. More stalling from Dong. Kane wants to control but Dong postures up. Kane is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dong is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Kane tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Dong easily slips into full mount! Dong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kane has given up his back. Will we see Dong going for some submissions?
Kane trying to control the hands but Dong breaks the grip. I would not like to be Kane right now.
Kane just trying to survive but Dong is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. What can Kane do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Let's hope that Dong has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Long Dong has got the better of the ground game so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kane wants to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Long Dong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
