Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Thunder (ranked 1262 p4p, 1586 weight class) and Donald Fonald (ranked 155 p4p, 193 weight class). Thunder comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck - AcDc. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Thunder !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donald Fonald!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder avoids a punch combination nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Thunder misses the target.
Fonald lands with a hook. Thunder tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Thunder blocks a jab.
Fonald tries to clinch up but Thunder circles away and keeps his distance.
Fonald throws a nice looking combination but Thunder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Thunder takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thunder throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fonald makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Fonald has closed the distance and engaged Thunder in a clinch.

Fonald rushes Thunder and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fonald breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thunder gets tackled into the cage by Fonald. Fonald maintains the clinch.

Fonald throws a nice inside leg kick.
Thunder gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fonald.
Fonald works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fonald doesn't manage to clinch there - Thunder circles away.
Thunder was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Thunder uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fonald.
Fonald dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fonald connects with a right hand. Thunder shakes it off.
Thunder throws a sloppy head kick and Fonald moves out of range easily.

Fonald is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Thunder had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Fonald has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Fonald throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thunder sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thunder throws a big counter combination but Fonald scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Fonald cracks Thunder with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Fonald. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Thunder ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thunder no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fonald takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Donald Fonald seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Thunder counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Fonald lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fonald cracks Thunder with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Donald Fonald comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fonald winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
