Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoari Amida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, William Gray!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray fails to land the takedown.
Gray throws a head kick that misses
and Amida counters with a straight right hand.
Gray misses with a head kick.
Gray throws a hook to the side of Amida's head but Amida sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Amida fires out a quick counter leg kick but Gray just manages to avoid it.
Gray motions for Amida to come forward. Gray throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gray throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Amida counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Gray out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Amida is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Minoari Amida!
A relieved looking Minoari Amida thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated William Gray had this to say: 'Ah shit, that did not go as planned. I... I just don't know what happened to me. Well done and all respect to my opponent, he did well today.'.
