Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Grubbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Kahanui!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grubbs throws a body shot but no joy.
Kahanui tests Grubbs's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Grubbs tries to move into range but Kahanui moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Grubbs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kahanui moves away.
Kahanui bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Grubbs swings widly with a right hand
and Kahanui counters with a nice uppercut.
Grubbs displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kahanui throws out the jab.
Kahanui throws a jab but it's blocked by Grubbs.
Grubbs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kahanui moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kahanui now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Grubbs looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kahanui blocks a jab.
Kahanui has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Grubbs is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A lazy left from Grubbs finds it's target.
Grubbs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kahanui.
Kahanui has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Grubbs scores with a decent looking hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grubbs pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kahanui is out of range and Grubbs settles back down.
Grubbs tries a low kick but Kahanui avoids it.
Kahanui showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Grubbs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grubbs keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kahanui.
Nice uppercut lands for Kahanui. That snapped Grubbs's head back.
Kahanui throws a hook to the side of Grubbs's head but Grubbs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Grubbs misses with a straight left.
Grubbs misses with a left hand
and Kahanui counters with a huge left! Grubbs is in big trouble! He's backing up but Kahanui isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Grubbs from any more damage. A dominating finish by Kahanui!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kai Kahanui!
Kai Kahanui decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
