Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Durante Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Budgell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Budgell has chosen Im to sexy!!!! as his entrance music. Adam Budgell told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Ricardo Durante Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Adam Budgell! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Budgell shoots in looking for a takedown. Durante Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Budgell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Durante Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Durante Jr fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Horrible takedown by Durante Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Budgell which made him look bad. Durante Jr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Budgell striking from the bottom. Budgell flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Budgell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Budgell working away. Durante Jr is looking to reverse the position. Budgell looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Budgell tries for a kimura but Durante Jr is defending well. Budgell fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Durante Jr gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Budgell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A swing and a miss from Durante Jr. Durante Jr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Budgell on the side of the head. Budgell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Budgell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
