Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Farto Fuerte (ranked 6047 p4p, 6037 weight class) and Jean Blanc (ranked 560 p4p, 558 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Farto Fuerte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Blanc!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Blanc blocks a head kick by Fuerte.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blanc tries a low kick but Fuerte avoids it.
It looked like Fuerte was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Fuerte pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Fuerte throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blanc with the counter takedown but Fuerte avoids it easily.
Fuerte swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fuerte pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A nice leg kick from Fuerte, right into the meat of the thigh.

Fuerte misses with an uppercut

and Blanc counters with a shoot takedown. Fuerte fights it but they end up in guard.
Fuerte wants to stand but Blanc is controlling the position.

Fuerte manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Blanc shoots for a takedown but Fuerte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fuerte checks a leg kick.
Fuerte tries a head kick but it misses.
Fuerte moves in looking to clinch but Blanc pushes him off.
Blanc fails with the takedown.
A quick step to the side and Fuerte tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A head kick from Fuerte lands but Blanc takes it in his stride.

It looks like Jean Blanc has been cut.

Fuerte looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Blanc tries a quick counter leg kick but Fuerte is wise to it.

Fuerte throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Blanc tries a quick counter leg kick but Fuerte is wise to it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fuerte rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Blanc moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Blanc changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Blanc scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Fuerte manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Fuerte misses with a wild body shot.
Blanc tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Blanc closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Blanc manages to break the clinch.
Blanc fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fuerte checks it well.
Fuerte was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Blanc tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A little feinted left hand from Fuerte on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Blanc throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fuerte's waist but Fuerte gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blanc off to one side.
Farto Fuerte is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blanc.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Blanc turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Fuerte avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Fuerte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blanc was well out of range. Poor timing from Fuerte.

Fuerte throws a big counter combination but Blanc scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That's time! Fuerte's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Blanc changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fuerte tries to avoid it but Blanc manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fuerte to the ground. Fuerte escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blanc.
Farto Fuerte is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Blanc manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fuerte on his heels. He'll look to pass Fuerte's guard now, I'm sure.

Blanc was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fuerte looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Blanc drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Fuerte defends it well.

Blanc displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fuerte throws out the jab.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fuerte, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
