Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Asher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tenho Lahti! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lahti fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Asher, pushing him back against the cage. Asher avoiding damage as Lahti throws knees to the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Lahti obliges. Asher avoiding damage as Lahti throws knees to the body.
A short right from Lahti on the inside. Lahti utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Asher is breathing heavily. Asher's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lahti lands an elbow just above Asher 's eye.
It looks like Albert Asher has been cut. Lahti landing knees to the body.
Lahti lands a nice knee to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lahti gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Lahti lands with a light punch inside. Lahti lands a knee to the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lahti creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Lahti lands a good knee to the midsection. Asher won't want to take too many of those. Lahti lands a body punch in the clinch. Lahti's coach down at Finnish Elite Sport and Fitness Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lahti's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lahti lands with a left to the head. Lahti putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Asher in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Lahti jerks Asher to the side and lands a massive knee to the head that knocks him out cold! Asher's lifeless body is proped up only by the cage. Lahti steps back, hand raised, as the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Tenho Lahti!
