Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hassan Takhti (ranked 5392 p4p, 3218 weight class) and Ceasar Figueiredo (ranked 516 p4p, 347 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hassan Takhti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ceasar Figueiredo ! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takhti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Figueiredo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Figueiredo lands in his opponent's guard. Figueiredo has gone for a leg lock! Takhti slips out almost immediately though and dives into Figueiredo 's guard. Takhti passes Figueiredo 's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Figueiredo trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Figueiredo is squirming around, avoiding Takhti's attempts to control the action. Takhti is working for a guillotine from mount but Figueiredo frees his head quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Figueiredo is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Figueiredo is still trying to improve position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Figueiredo can do anything to dispel that myth. Takhti looking to finish with strikes here!
Figueiredo wants to hold on but Takhti pushes him away. Figueiredo is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Takhti is staying active. Figueiredo is bucking up trying to escape but Takhti cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Takhti is working for a guillotine from mount but Figueiredo frees his head quite easily.
Figueiredo tries to hold on but Takhti pushes him away. Figueiredo is looking to get to half guard. Takhti working the ground and pound effectively.
Takhti trying to control but he's not successful this time. The referee warns Figueiredo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Takhti trying to control but Figueiredo is having none of it. Takhti avoids the attempt from Figueiredo to control. Takhti has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Takhti looking to finish with strikes here!
We've been hearing good reports from Takhti's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Takhti lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Figueiredo hang on? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Takhti looking to secure an arm triangle but Figueiredo defends it well. Figueiredo tries to improve his position but Takhti has taken his back! Takhti has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Figueiredo tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Takhti pushes Figueiredo away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
