Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Balentines (ranked 5662 p4p, 6277 weight class) and Killer Boy (ranked 507 p4p, 531 weight class). Killer Boy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jack Balentines's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Killer Boy!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Balentines quickly recovers to half guard.
Balentines trying to hold on to Boy's head to control him but Boy postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balentines gets full guard.
Boy is in close to Balentines's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Balentines looking for a guillotine here but Boy defends easily.

Boy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Boy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Balentines has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boy has managed to get both his arms back between Balentines's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Balentines bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Boy's guard.

Balentines jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Boy manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Balentines is breathing heavily.
Boy throws a few strikes from the bottom but Balentines takes advantage and mounts!
Boy regains half guard.
Balentines not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Balentines wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boy keeps working.
Boy wants to get back to full guard.
Boy flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Balentines tries to stand and escape but Boy is controlling the position.

Balentines plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Balentines darts in and clinches Boy up against the cage.

Balentines breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Balentines can't get the takedown.
Boy swings wildly with an uppercut but Balentines uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Balentines tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Balentines will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boy gets to his feet and stands over Balentines, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Balentines felt that one! Boy unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Balentines from any more punishment!
