Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Gregor (ranked 1468 p4p, 2599 weight class) and Dmitry Ovchinnikov (ranked 196 p4p, 338 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Ovchinnikov.
Gregor ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice uppercut there from Ovchinnikov.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ovchinnikov enables Gregor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ovchinnikov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ovchinnikov wants to get back to his feet but Gregor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ovchinnikov wants to stand and escape but Gregor is having none of it.

Ovchinnikov is rocked!
Gregor gets to his feet and stands over Ovchinnikov, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Ovchinnikov felt that one! Gregor unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Ovchinnikov from any more punishment!
