Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abner Applegate (ranked 269 p4p, 195 weight class) and Gideon Navarro (ranked 42 p4p, 29 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Abner Applegate has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Abner Applegate seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Applegate throws a leg kick that is checked
and Navarro counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Navarro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Applegate throws out the jab.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Navarro in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
