Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santu Avisu Kona (ranked 786 p4p, 388 weight class) and Bubba Jones (ranked 91 p4p, 57 weight class). Jones has chosen I'm A Soldier as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avisu Kona throws a head kick that misses.
A little jabbing left from Jones on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jones dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Avisu Kona. That did some damage!
Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Avisu Kona tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Avisu Kona throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Avisu Kona.
Jones throws out a leg kick but Avisu Kona moves out of range and Jones only half commits.
Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A head kick misses from Jones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Avisu Kona shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jones moves out of range of the body kick.
Avisu Kona doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.

Avisu Kona wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Avisu Kona wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Jones's closed guard. He's half up but Jones has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Jones pivots and extends the arm, Avisu Kona falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Jones! Well done that man!
