And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vern Vurris!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy scores with the left hand. Vurris knows he should have avoided that one.
Guy connects with a leg kick.
Vurris shoots in but no luck this time.
Vern Vurris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vurris looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Vurris throwing strikes but missing.
Vurris scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vurris is working for a guillotine from mount but Guy frees his head quite easily.
Guy takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Vurris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vurris lands a couple of good shots and Guy has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
