Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philipp Tyurin (ranked 1589 p4p, 1882 weight class) and Pawel Borysek (ranked 64 p4p, 82 weight class). Philipp Tyurin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philipp Tyurin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pawel Borysek! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borysek scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Tyurin is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at EFC Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Borysek remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Borysek goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tyurin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Borysek but great work by Tyurin. Borysek is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyurin wants to stand but Borysek is controlling his arm. Borysek is trying to control Tyurin's posture but Tyurin avoids it. Tyurin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Borysek to his feet. Borysek gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Tyurin counter with a right hand.
It looks like Pawel Borysek has been cut. Borysek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tyurin counters with a nice uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Borysek fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Borysek has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Philipp Tyurin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pawel Borysek. Borysek misses with a takedown and Tyurin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Borysek looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. Borysek with a lazy takedown attempt and Tyurin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That has opened up Pawel Borysek's cut even more. Borysek closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Borysek lands in his opponent's guard. Borysek looking to improve position, pressing down on Tyurin's thigh with his hand. Tyurin seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Borysek paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Borysek's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Tyurin picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Philipp Tyurin! A very excited looking Philipp Tyurin rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
