Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Boytsov (ranked 4140 p4p, 2184 weight class) and Jake Rizzo (ranked 504 p4p, 279 weight class). Rizzo has chosen Mastodon - Blood and Thunder as his entrance music. Jake Rizzo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitry Boytsov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Rizzo! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzo looks to land a combination but Boytsov avoids it well. Boytsov throws a jab when Rizzo was well out of range. Rizzo unleashes a big counter combination but Boytsov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Nice combo by Rizzo! Oh, that's hurt him - Boytsov falls to the canvas and Rizzo follows him into side control.

It looks like Dmitry Boytsov has been cut. Rizzo throwing strikes but missing, from side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boytsov can't do much from the bottom here. Boytsov is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rizzo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Will he be able to recover?!! Rizzo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Boytsov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Rizzo working away. Boytsov is looking for a sweep. Boytsov seems to have got his legs back now. Boytsov is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rizzo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boytsov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rizzo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boytsov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rizzo has managed to get both his arms back between Boytsov's legs - danger averted. Rizzo is stalling in the full guard. Boytsov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Boytsov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rizzo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Boytsov. And that is the end of the round. Boytsov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rizzo has managed to free his arm - good work. Rizzo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rizzo is looking to control Boytsov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rizzo avoid being mounted?

And that's the end of the fight! Dmitry Boytsov showed his dominance in that final round. I think Rizzo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
