Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Krylov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Telegin!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Telegin swings widly with a right hand
and Krylov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Sergey Telegin has been cut.
A nice combination there by Krylov.
Krylov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Telegin.
Krylov lands a leg kick that knocks Telegin off balance momentarily.
Telegin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Krylov swivels and escapes.
Krylov swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Krylov staying out of range there.
Telegin misses with a left hand
and Krylov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Krylov misses with a low kick.
Krylov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Telegin.

Telegin looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Telegin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Telegin won't allow Krylov to sweep him here.
Telegin trying to control but Krylov is working from the bottom.
Telegin throwing strikes from guard but Krylov blocks nicely.
Telegin wants to control from the top but Krylov keeps moving.
Krylov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Telegin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Telegin wants to pass the guard but Krylov is keeping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Telegin with a flurry of punches that miss.
Telegin tries to free his leg and advance position but Krylov is retaining full guard.
Krylov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Telegin postures up in Krylov's guard and throws a big left but Krylov blocks it.
Krylov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Telegin.
Telegin throws a strike but Krylov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Krylov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Krylov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Telegin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Telegin wants to sweep here but Krylov controlling him for the moment.
Krylov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Telegin on the ground.

Telegin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Krylov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Krylov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krylov tries to stand but Telegin is controlling from the bottom.
Telegin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Krylov wants to pass the guard but Telegin is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Krylov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Telegin looking for a guillotine here but Krylov defends easily.
Krylov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Telegin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Krylov works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Boris Krylov will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Telegin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Telegin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Telegin misses with a straight left.
A quick step to the side and Krylov tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Telegin swings widly with a right hand
and Krylov counters with a stiff right hand.
Krylov connects with a looping right hand.

That has opened up Sergey Telegin's cut even more.
Krylov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Krylov lands with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Telegin looks to clinch
and Krylov counters with an outside leg kick.
Krylov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Krylov circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Telegin to the canvas! Telegin doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Krylov keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boris Krylov!
