Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Motts (ranked 502 p4p, 786 weight class) and Peter Petersson (ranked 10 p4p, 19 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregory Motts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Petersson! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Motts steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Petersson. Motts fails with an attempt to clinch.
Motts defending well as Petersson loads up on a big left hand. Petersson lands a head shot. Petersson misses with a hook. Motts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Petersson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Petersson presses Motts against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Motts misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short right from Petersson on the inside. A head punch on the inside from Motts fails to land. Motts misses with a hook from the clinch. Motts lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Motts tries to work over Petersson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Motts tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Motts lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Petersson backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short body shot lands from Petersson as the two fighters clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Petersson. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Motts. Petersson swings wildly with an uppercut but Motts uses good head movement to avoid it. Petersson misses with a body punch.
Motts misses with a hook from the clinch. A bit of stalling here from Motts.
Petersson lands with a left to the head. Petersson tries to throw a body punch but Motts avoids it by throwing Petersson back against the cage. Petersson tries to work over Motts's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Petersson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Petersson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Petersson lands a hook to the side of the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Petersson. Petersson misses with some punches.
I was talking to Motts's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Motts struggles to land a body shot inside as Petersson controls his hands.
Petersson cracks Motts with a nice body shot. Petersson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Petersson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Petersson works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Motts is breathing heavily. Petersson softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Petersson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Motts backwards. A quick uppercut on the inside from Petersson. Petersson lands a left hand.
Motts is rocked! Petersson lands a body punch in the clinch. Oh Motts is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Petersson unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Motts! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Petersson is unloading with more strikes now! Motts drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
