Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luis Pinto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Manolito Tai Kung! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinto avoids the body shot from Tai Kung.
Tai Kung thows a left - swing and a miss! An attempted straight right counter from Pinto misses the target. No joy there for Tai Kung, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pinto avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tai Kung throws a big shot that misses. Pinto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tai Kung circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pinto shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tai Kung is trying to defend but Pinto finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Pinto is trying to control. Tai Kung wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pinto wants to free his trapped foot but Tai Kung is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Tai Kung tries to roll over but Pinto keeps him under control. Pinto has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tai Kung defend it? Pinto steps over the head and cranks it - Tai Kung is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pinto!
