Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Steel Ii (ranked 1684 p4p, 525 weight class) and Joad Cressbeckler (ranked 244 p4p, 75 weight class). Cressbeckler has chosen American Remains as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Joad Cressbeckler has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alex Steel Ii's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Steel Ii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joad Cressbeckler! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel Ii throws a lazy head kick and Cressbeckler counters with a straight right hand. Cressbeckler throws a jab when Steel Ii was well out of range. Steel Ii looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Cressbeckler connects with a leg kick. Steel Ii slips a straight right by Cressbeckler. Steel Ii gets off balance looking for a body kick and Cressbeckler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Steel Ii goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Steel Ii throws a head kick that Cressbeckler semi-blocks.
Steel Ii clobbers Cressbeckler with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Steel Ii tries a head kick but it misses.
Cressbeckler looks to land a right hand but Steel Ii moved out of range. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steel Ii. It seemed like Cressbeckler was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Steel Ii throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Joad Cressbeckler has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Cressbeckler moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cressbeckler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Steel Ii tries to clinch up. Cressbeckler let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Steel Ii looks for the body kick but Cressbeckler saw that one coming. A little jabbing left from Cressbeckler on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Cressbeckler lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Alex Steel Ii has been cut. Cressbeckler misses with a low kick as Steel Ii jumps back. Steel Ii scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Steel Ii misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've been informed that Cressbeckler has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Cressbeckler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steel Ii was well out of range. Poor timing from Cressbeckler. Steel Ii tries a head kick but it misses.
Steel Ii misses with a body kick. Steel Ii takes a shot right to the bread basket. Cressbeckler tests Steel Ii's chin there with a solid looking shot. Steel Ii is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cressbeckler.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel Ii takes the fight into the clinch. Cressbeckler lands with a short punch from the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Steel Ii lands a body shot. Cressbeckler makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Steel Ii working hard to break the clinch. Cressbeckler lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Cressbeckler scores with a nice hook to the head.
Steel Ii is rocked! Cressbeckler drops Steel Ii onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Steel Ii is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Oh Steel Ii is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A body shot lands from Cressbeckler.
Steel Ii tries to work over Cressbeckler's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Steel Ii wants to get back to striking at distance but Cressbeckler won't allow it.
Cressbeckler creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Steel Ii's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Steel Ii drops to his knees and Cressbeckler pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joad Cressbeckler! In his post fight interview, Joad Cressbeckler started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
