Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paolinho Antonio Mateis Laeiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Orvar Odd Lodinkinni! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mateis Laeiro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lodinkinni sprawls well. Lodinkinni wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mateis Laeiro gets slowly back to his feet. Lodinkinni has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Orvar Odd Lodinkinni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mateis Laeiro tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lodinkinni defends well and Mateis Laeiro ends up having to push Lodinkinni into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mateis Laeiro fails to pull guard.

Lodinkinni avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lodinkinni is defending well against a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. and Mateis Laeiro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lodinkinni's guard. Mateis Laeiro tries to free his leg and advance position but Lodinkinni is retaining full guard. Mateis Laeiro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lodinkinni looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lodinkinni looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lodinkinni! Mateis Laeiro regains half guard. Mateis Laeiro looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mateis Laeiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lodinkinni prevents Mateis Laeiro from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lodinkinni moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Mateis Laeiro. Lodinkinni tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Mateis Laeiro sneaks back into half guard. Mateis Laeiro looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mateis Laeiro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lodinkinni pulls his head out easily. Mateis Laeiro actively working from the bottom here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lodinkinni tries to stand and escape but Mateis Laeiro is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mateis Laeiro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lodinkinni pulls his head out easily. Mateis Laeiro actively working from the bottom here. Lodinkinni tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Mateis Laeiro looking for submissions off his back. Lodinkinni moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Mateis Laeiro. Mateis Laeiro looks to move to half guard but instead Lodinkinni has passed into mount! Damn!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mateis Laeiro tries to reverse the position but Lodinkinni maintains control. Lodinkinni sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mateis Laeiro keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Orvar Odd Lodinkinni dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Lodinkinni lands a slapping body shot.
Lodinkinni lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Lodinkinni lands a lovely overhand right. Whack! Lodinkinni lands a heavy head kick that drops Mateis Laeiro. The ref tackles Lodinkinni to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Mateis Laeiro was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Orvar Odd Lodinkinni! After winning the bout, Orvar Odd Lodinkinni thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
