Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Shifter (ranked 2610 p4p, 2738 weight class) and Boxing Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shifter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lützenkirchen- Nutcracker . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boxing Man!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man stuffs the takedown attempt from Shifter. Shifter gets slowly back to his feet.
Shifter misses with a takedown attempt - Man sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shifter fails with a takedown attempt.
Man doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Shifter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Shifter or perhaps it was just good defense by Man, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Shifter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Man wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Shifter manages to pass to side control.
Shifter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Shifter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Shifter content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Shifter is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Shifter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Man wants to improve his position but Shifter is controlling well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shifter is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Man is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
