Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Bomstaerk!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palmer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bomstaerk to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Palmer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bomstaerk has gone for a leg lock! Palmer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bomstaerk's guard.
Bomstaerk has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Palmer off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Palmer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Bomstaerk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bomstaerk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bomstaerk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bomstaerk is looking to take a break and control but Palmer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Palmer is not content to let Bomstaerk control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bomstaerk throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Palmer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bomstaerk cracks Palmer with a big elbow.
The strikes coming from Bomstaerk are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Palmer is not content to let Bomstaerk control the position.
Bomstaerk has hold of Palmer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Palmer seems comfortable defending it but Bomstaerk has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Palmer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Palmer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bomstaerk couldn't care less - he's delighted!
