Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Jones (ranked 5464 p4p, 5640 weight class) and Kokkoro Kirin (ranked 508 p4p, 175 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kokkoro Kirin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bradley Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kokkoro Kirin! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Watson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kirin swivels and escapes. Kirin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nice uppercut lands for Kirin. That snapped Jones's head back.
Nice cross by Kirin. Kirin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kirin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Kirin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Kirin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kirin pinned against the ropes. Kirin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones has been working on his balance at London Warrior Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kirin. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bradley Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones dives in and grabs Kirin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kirin pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Kirin lands with an overhand left. Kokkoro Kirin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kirin lands a nice shot that snaps Jones's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Kirin. Kirin lands a nice looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Kirin lands with a good body shot. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones tries for a takedown but Kirin circles away easily and Kirin counters with a nice uppercut. Jones takes one on the button. Kirin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kirin lands with an uppercut that bounces Jones off the ropes and back into range. Kirin lands with a nice body punch. Kirin lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kirin lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand. Kirin connects with a crisp jab. Kirin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jones has time to react. Kokkoro Kirin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kirin lands a head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones fails to land the takedown. Jones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jones is rocked! Kirin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jones had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Kirin circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jones to the canvas! Jones doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kirin keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kokkoro Kirin! Bradley Jones spoke after the fight, saying 'My opponent was fantastic and he deserves the win, he was the better man tonight '.
