Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Greg Wraskler (ranked 4435 p4p, 4232 weight class) and Wee Ning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Greg Wraskler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wee Ning! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ning is defended easily by Wraskler. A momentary lapse in concentration from Wraskler enables Ning to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wraskler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ning pushes down on Wraskler's leg and manages to get into half guard. Wraskler is looking to get back to full guard here but Ning has managed to pass to side control instead. Sloppy strikes there by Ning. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wraskler gets back to half guard. Wraskler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wraskler tries to get out of the position. Wraskler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ning preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ning throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wraskler works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ning preventing the sweep. Ning is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ning with a flurry of punches that miss. Wraskler controls Ning momentarily but Ning frees himself. Ning controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ning scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Wraskler keeping full guard, as Ning tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ning loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ning has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wraskler working for a triangle but Ning defends it easily.
Ning tries to free his leg and advance position but Wraskler is retaining full guard. Wraskler lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wraskler takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ning avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wraskler. Ning makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ning. Wraskler makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wraskler lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wraskler landing with the ground and pound. Wraskler landing with the ground and pound. Wraskler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wraskler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wraskler with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wraskler working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ning's head. Wraskler cracks Ning with a solid left hand. Ning looks winded! Ning manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wraskler manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ning missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wraskler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ning on the ground. Wraskler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wraskler avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ning. Ning is trying to control the action in half guard but Wraskler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wraskler is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wraskler gets full guard. Wraskler is pulling down on Ning's head. It's preventing any offense from Ning, at least for the moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ning trying to control the position from guard on top but Wraskler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Greg Wraskler will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ning fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ning tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wraskler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ning somewhat. Ning shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wraskler defends it nicely. Greg Wraskler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wee Ning. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ning looking to score a takedown here. Wraskler is defending well but Ning drives through and ends up in Wraskler's guard. Wraskler tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ning bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wraskler's guard. Wraskler scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ning's guard. Ning has hold of Wraskler's hands but Wraskler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ning is looking to get back to full guard here but Wraskler has managed to pass to side control instead. Greg Wraskler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wraskler working the head with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ning struggling a bit here. Ning takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Wraskler working the ground and pound.
Ning is rocked! Wraskler lands a strong strike to the head of Ning. That's dazed him! Wraskler looking to finish here. Ning is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Wraskler lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Wraskler! Greg Wraskler opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
