Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gianluca Luciano (ranked 5203 p4p, 4670 weight class) and Rick Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 527 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Owens!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luciano lands an overhand right.
Owens closes the distance and clinches.
Owens jumps guard but Luciano stands there with Owens around his waist. Owens gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Luciano throws a head punch that misses.
Luciano misses with the head strike.
Luciano lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Luciano misses with a punch to the body.
Luciano's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Luciano lands with a right to the head.
Owens tries to pull guard but Luciano forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luciano prevents the takedown attempt.
Gianluca Luciano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Owens.
Luciano can't find room to land a body shot as Owens controls the action.

Owens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A jab from Luciano finds it's way through Owens's defenses.
Owens shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Luciano but Luciano pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Luciano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Owens tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Luciano manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Owens takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Luciano connects with a body shot.
Luciano lands with a good body shot.
Luciano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Owens was well out of range. Poor timing from Luciano.
Luciano misses with a looping right.
Luciano scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Owens tries to clinch there but Luciano circles away.
Luciano tries to counter by clinching up but Owens breaks away and moves out of range.

Owens takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Owens counters by clinching up.

Owens has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Luciano after a bit of a struggle.
Luciano slows down the pace here.
Luciano misses with a hook to the ribs.
Luciano struggles to land a body shot inside as Owens controls his hands.
Luciano throws a head punch that misses.

Owens wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Luciano has him pressed against the cage.
Owens ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Owens no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Luciano has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Owens to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Luciano is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Owens pulls down on the head and he's put Luciano to sleep! This one is all over!
