Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dar Jee (ranked 3734 p4p, 3151 weight class) and Jens Jensen (ranked 170 p4p, 140 weight class). Jee comes to the cage accompanied by Everybody Knows My Name. Jens Jensen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dar Jee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jens Jensen! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jensen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jee sprawls well. Jee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jensen gets slowly back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Jee. No joy for Jensen on that attempt. Jee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jee wants it to stay on the feet. It looked like Jee was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Dar Jee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jens Jensen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jee slaps away a takedown attempt from Jensen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jee is looking for a counter combo. Jensen throws a looping overhand right but Jee ducks down to avoid it. It looked like Jee was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jensen misses with a straight left. Jee went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Jensen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jee as he avoids it easily. Jee appears to be looking for a big counter. We've been hearing reports that Jee has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Jee stuffs the takedown attempt from Jensen. Jensen gets slowly back to his feet. It looked like Jee was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Jensen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jensen wants to control but Jee is keeping him busy.

Jee flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jee wants to get back to full guard. Jensen is trying to control. Jee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jee is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jensen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jee defends it well. Jensen prevents Jee from improving his position. Jensen is looking to take a break and control but Jee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jee actively working from the bottom here. Jee is defending against the submission attempts here by Jensen.

Jee works his way to full guard. Good work. Jee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jensen manages to get himself to full guard.
Jensen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jensen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jee wants to stand but Jensen is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jensen looking for a sweep. Not yet Jensen, not yet. Jensen is still trying to improve position. Jensen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jee wanted to stand there but Jensen had control of the position. Jee wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Jensen's closed guard. He's half up but Jensen has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Jensen pivots and extends the arm, Jee falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Jensen! Well done that man!
