Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jordan (ranked 4359 p4p, 5524 weight class) and Borat Sagidiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Jordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Borat Sagidiev!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan throws a push kick but Sagidiev slaps the foot to one side.
Sagidiev changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Jordan blocks a head kick by Sagidiev.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sagidiev is defended easily by Jordan.
Jordan tries to counter with a takedown but Sagidiev is quick to defend against it.

Sagidiev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jordan is trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sagidiev lands a decent elbow from side control.

and Sagidiev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jordan won't be happy with that.

Sagidiev is trying to get an arm triangle but Jordan is defending well.

Jordan tries to improve position but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sagidiev works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Sagidiev decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jordan to his feet.
Sagidiev misses with a takedown attempt - Jordan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sagidiev looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jordan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sagidiev looks for the body kick but Jordan saw that one coming.
Jordan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jordan misses with a body shot.

and Sagidiev counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jordan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sagidiev circles away.
Jordan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sagidiev tries to avoid it but Jordan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sagidiev to the ground. Sagidiev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jordan gets tackled into the cage by Sagidiev. Sagidiev maintains the clinch.

Borat Sagidiev dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Jordan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sagidiev as he jumps to the side.

Sagidiev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jordan avoids it really well and circles away.

Sagidiev prevents the takedown attempt.
Sagidiev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jordan walks away with a smile on his face. Sagidiev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jordan tries to clinch but Sagidiev moves out of range.
Sagidiev looks for a takedown but Jordan sprawls well.
Jordan slaps away a takedown attempt from Sagidiev, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jordan looks for the body kick but Sagidiev saw that one coming.
Jordan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Sagidiev. No joy for Jordan on that attempt.
Jordan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Borat Sagidiev seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sagidiev dives in and grabs Jordan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jordan pushes down on Sagidiev's head and hops out.

Jordan tries to keep at a distance but Sagidiev has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sagidiev is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jordan is defending well.
Jordan wants to break free but Sagidiev has control.

Jordan jumps guard and drags Sagidiev to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jordan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sagidiev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jordan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A close second round but Borat Sagidiev will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Sagidiev tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jordan smiles and moves away.
Jim Jordan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Borat Sagidiev.
Jordan moves out of range of the body kick from Sagidiev.

Jordan clinches up with Sagidiev and pushes him back against the cage.
Sagidiev is trying to pull guard but Jordan has him pressed against the cage.

Sagidiev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jordan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jordan wants to get up but he can't break Sagidiev's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sagidiev has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Let's hope that Sagidiev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jordan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sagidiev's head.

Jordan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jordan shoots for a double leg takedown but Sagidiev sprawls well. He's pushed Jordan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jordan tries to keep at a distance but Sagidiev has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jordan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Sagidiev jumps into guard, dragging Jordan to the mat.

Jordan has gone for a leg lock! Sagidiev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jordan's guard.


Jordan has an active guard here but Sagidiev has managed to pass into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sagidiev wants to take a breather but Jordan is having none of it.
Sagidiev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sagidiev not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Jordan looking for submissions off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sagidiev throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Borat Sagidiev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sagidiev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
