Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Remy Lemieux (ranked 5608 p4p, 4809 weight class) and Ozpin Oz (ranked 574 p4p, 539 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemieux wants to clinch but Oz slips to the side

and Oz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Oz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lemieux wants to stand and escape but Oz is having none of it.
Oz looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Oz wants to control from the top but Lemieux keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Oz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
